MANCHESTER HISTORIES FESTIVAL
ANGEL MEADOW / NOMA
4TH / 5TH JUNE 2016
In association with NOMA and Friends Of Angel Meadow I’m taking part in the Manchester Histories Festival across the weekend of June 4th / 5th 2016.
- Throughout the weekend I’ll be exhibiting 8 pieces of work from Not Quite Light, displayed on specially commissioned easels, along a photo trail that leads from Aspin Lane through to Sadler’s Yard, via Angel Meadow, The Marble Arch, The Angel and NOMA. I’ll be stationed in and around the Marble Arch pub, and you can follow my whereabouts on Twitter at @NotQuiteLight. I’ll be happy to talk about the work.
- On the Saturday evening, at dusk, I’ll be co-hosting Supper With The Dead with Friends Of Angel Meadow. We’ll have an authentic Victorian supper around the gravestones in Angel Meadow, and discuss the history of this extraordinary area of Manchester. There will also be live poetry. The supper will be broadcast on Periscope. from 9.30pm. Meet at the gravestones.
- Sunday 5th June sees a repeat of the successful guided talk with Emma Fox, where I’ll talk about my photographs and Not Quite Light, and Emma will explain the social history behind them. Meet at Marble Arch at 4pm. You can buy tickets here – TICKETS
