MAXIMUM OF 8 PLACES TO ENSURE ONE ON ONE TUITION

We all love taking portraits of our friends and family, or we might even ask strangers to pose for us when we’re taking pictures. Whatever your reason for taking portrait photographs, join us on this 6 week course, and by giving you the skills of a pro, we’ll help you learn the foundations of portrait work so that you can take the pictures you want every time!

WEEK ONE – We’ll look at the work of the world’s best photographers and examine how they achieve the perfect picture.

WEEK TWO – It’s time to learn the craft! In this lesson you will learn how to use your camera for portraits, and explore some basic lighting set ups. You will learn valuable skills that will be useful whether you are using a smartphone, DSLR of film camera.

WEEKS THREE – FIVE – Now you get to the nitty gritty, as you learn how to pose your subject and use studio lights and other light sources to create your work. You will also learn basic post processing techniques. You will then learn how to choose your best pictures, and prepare for sharing.

WEEK SIX – In this lesson we’ll put on a mini-exhibition of the work, having made one digital print of your best picture. We’ll even invite friends and family down so you can show what you’ve done, and it will be a lovely social way to end the course.
