TWILIGHT PHOTOWALK ANCOATS AND ROCHDALE CANAL

SATURDAY MARCH 15TH 6PM-7.30PM

ANCOATS & ROCHDALE CANAL

10 PLACES £12 ( + £1 booking fee )

Join Not Quite Light on the second night of the full moon phase in March for a walk around Ancoats, and along the Rochdale Canal, an area at the heart of the industrial revolution, a place of fascinating history, and now a district of great change as new housing and offices are created. It’s a place of great contrasts where you can sense the past and the future, where vast red brick mills overlook modern flat pack housing.

The walk will begin from outside Cask on Anocats Marina and meander along the Rochdale Canal towards Victoria Mill, and back through the streets of Ancoats as darkness falls. Sunset is at 18.13 on this evening, and it will be dark by 7pm…And if we’re out long enough we might be able to see the moon rise in the east at 19.40.

This is a gentle walk to be enjoyed by anyone, at any level of photography. You can bring your cameras, smartphones or even no recording device at all if you simply want to enjoy the atmosphere of twilight.
