CASTLEFIELD VIADUCT MANCHESTER- NATIONAL TRUST & CASTLEFIELD BASIN
10 PLACES – £12 PER PERSON + £1.00 booking fee
Join me on this magical Not Quite Light photowalk starting at the beautiful National Trust Castlefield Viaduct. The viaduct will be lit as the sun sets and we begin our walk, and we can absorb the sights and sounds of this beguiling space within the city. On the viaduct I’ll demonstrate a technique I use, painting with light.
We will then meander around the ancient area of Castlefield, the birthplace of Manchester. Just outside the Viaduct gardens there are splendid views of the new and the old city, and we’ll complete our walk amongst the astonishing bridges that cross the canals. A true visual feast, made all the more dramatic and atmospheric by the twilight at dusk.
The walk is suitable for anyone at any level of photography, and you can bring any kind of camera, including smartphones.
You can even come without a camera at all if you simply wish to take in the atmosphere. It’s a very relaxing and mindful way to spend a couple of hours, exploring the city in an unexpected way.
