Much of the land around the norther edge of Manchester city centre is now given over to car parks, offering cheap all day parking on rutted ground. Where once stood grand warehouses, factories and offices you can now leave your car idle. The backdrop to this place is the CIS tower and the new Co-op bank building, which is the centrepiece of this area’s revival.
