TWILIGHT PHOTOWALK REDBANK MANCHESTER

Join me on December 19th, at dusk, for a magical walk around Redbank in Manchester.

For this Not Quite Light photowalk in Manchester we’ll be visiting the area of Redbank, to the north of the city centre. Change has already come to this district as it evolves from an area of warehouses and factories to a new neighbourhood of housing, hospitality and green space. I sometimes refer to as the Religious Quarter, as there are numerous churches now in the old buildings. It’s a place of history and strange secrets, that provides a wonderful view back to the modern day city skyline. This fascinating walk will deliver many moments of inspiration for your photography.

I’ll be on hand to offer tips and inspiration for photographs. The walk is suitable for any level, and you can bring any kind of recording device – smartphone, dslr or film cameras, or even no device at all if you simply want to stroll and absorb the sights and sounds around you. The walk is about giving ourselves permission to slow down and notice the world around us.

I’ve worked with photography for nearly 4 decades, and my pictures have appeared in national and international publications such as Elle, Saturday Telegraph Magazine, Der Speigel, GQ and The Guardian. I have exhibited numerous times in the UK, as well as Hong Kong, China, France and Germany.
